Oh and I musn’t forget the sweetest boys, Shawn and Charlie .  . .

These dolls are lovingly handmade using 100% wool and cotton by hearing impaired women in Peru as part of a Fair Trade cooperative that fosters self-esteem, personal growth and an opportunity to gain economic independence. 

It is a great reward to observe our children nurturing their dolls, much in the same way that we nurture them. Each doll is crafted with simple embodied facial features that allow a child to imagine their doll in many different moods and situations.

I simply love watching my daughter create endless play opportunities with these Rainbow Nesting Blocks.

A cave for a bear.

A house for a small toy person; a tunnel for cars; or a cradle for a baby. The possibilities are endless when you allow a child time to play and explore.

Children of all ages love to build and to nest toys and this set of wooden rainbow nesting blocks allows them to do both. The blocks, which are a combination of different sizes and colours, come in four shapes, including a number of sequentially sized blocks, to nest, stack and build with.

My daughter can spend hours lining up, stacking and nesting things, which means these blocks are great for lengthening her concentration. At the same time, she’s also learning about sequencing and sorting.

The blocks, with their beautiful bright colours, are also perfect for playing colour and shape recognition games with kids from a young age.

It’s not just younger children that enjoy these blocks; they’re great for kids from two right up to eight or even nine years of age.

Today we had a lovely visit from the gorgeous Joe. Sadly he had lost his Cherry teething rattle so his mama came over to get a new one. 

Looking at the sheer excitment on his face, he was very happy to get another one!

After a little play, it went straight into his mouth to relieve his sore gums! 

His mama said that he loved the old one so much that she felt quite upset when they had lost it.

Green Toys is a US company that makes environmentally friendly children’s toys from 100% recycled milk containers. They use milk containers because it is completely free from Phthalates & BPA and one of the safest & cleanest plastics around. I‘I be honest, I was a bit hesitant at first to add them to my store due to them being made out of plastic, but the more research I did on them, the more I realised that they were an exceptional, high quality, 100% green product!

One of the things that I love about Green Toys is that they are FDA (food contact standards) certified. A customer recently bought some of our rattles for her son Ari and sent me some gorgeous photos of him playing with them!

Look who I found in the garden?

Meet our newest edition . . . Cozy Lime organic cotton doll! Isn’t she (or he) just gorgeous?

I love these Keptin Jr dolls because they have no facial features which encourages your child to use their imagination and express their feelings through this doll.

It is super soft as it is made from certified organic cotton and filled with 100% pure wool so its makes a lovely comforter, perfectly safe teether and is also a rattle.

The designs of these dolls are actually inspired by children’s drawings so they are simple and make the perfect gift for a newborn baby.

This gorgeous wooden cash register arrived the other day and was a huge hit with my daughter!

I like to test all toys before I sell them to ensure they are top quality and also so that I have a better understanding of the play benefits of each toy.

This has got to be one of the best new toys I have gotten recently and my daughter Safari just loved it. She gathered all her felt fruit and played pretend shopping for hours!

It has large bright red buttons with numbers to press, a great way to learn counting.

When you press the largest red button the register opens and makes a ping sound! Just like a real register.

It evens comes with a wooden credit card and a roll of paper.

Look at her dear little face and the look of pure joy as she swipes her card! Priceless . . .
